The Alhambra is an architectural gem of classical beauty. Situated in tht historicel center of La Orotava.
It was built in the 18th century as a gentleman's residence and 100 years ago was transformed into an oasis of Arabic flavour.
Away from the hotel, there is a wealth of activities on offer in Northern Tenerife for an enjoyable and enriching holiday:
from walking or cycling in the mountains to bathing on various beaches, or pleasant hours spent sampling local cuisine with exquisite Canary Islands wines. Visit the protected monuments of the old town of La Orotava or even try the nightlife in Puerto de la Cruz, just 3 miles away.

Directions to Hotel Alhambra
From the Airport Reina Sofia you follow the highway TF-1 ( autopista del sur) to Santa Cruz.
Just before Santa Cruz you turn off TF -5 (conexión: autopista del norte) to Puerto de la Cruz.
You leave this highway at exit (salida) 33.
You follow the sign La Orotava, P.N. del Teide uphill.
On the left side you can see a fountain. You follow the street uphill (Avd. Obispo Benitez de Lugo) and turn right at the first possibility (Avd. José Antonio).
You follow this street, which bends a little bit to the left and leads directly to the historical part of the town (towards the Town Hall).
You turn off right ( downhill, Tomas Zerolo Street) at the cobblestone street and then you turn off right again: Nicandro González Borges.
The Hotel Alhambra is number 19 on the left-hand side of the street.
